Introduction
1.1 Purpose
This document explains the process of transferring user Chrome passwords and bookmarks when switching to a new PC.

This document begins with how to export Chrome bookmarks and Passwords. It then follows the import process for bookmarks and passwords. Ending with how to ensure the imports were successful.Page Break
Procedure
2.1 Exporting Bookmarks

Open Chrome

Click on the three dots in the top right corner

Select Bookmark manager

Select “Export Bookmarks”

Save the file in a place that is easily accessible (Example: In Documents or Desktop)

Select the HTML File from the shared folder (it will be labeled “bookmarks_date”)

Right-click on the google chrome shortcut

At the end of the target name enter: --enable-features=PasswordImport
This will allow us to import passwords, will not work if entered incorrectly. Click “Apply”.

If import was successful you will see them populated in the Bookmark Manager. Also, in the favorites menu and favorites bar (if turned on).
3.2 Testing Passwords

If import was successful, you will see them populated in the Passwords menu in settings. They will also show up when a user tries to log into a website where the password was previously saved.
